Snappy Driver Installer 1.21.2 (R2102) Driverpacks 21083 Multilingual

Snappy Driver Installer (SDI) is a portable program for installing and updating drivers that does not require an Internet connection. It is a rework of the original SDIO software by Glenn Delahoy. Just like SDIO, it is a leader among programs of this class in terms of driver selection accuracy and operation speed. When ranking drivers, it gives priority to more suitable drivers (regardless of the availability of newer versions) in order to minimize the risks for ordinary users. Experts can appreciate the large amount of information provided about the drivers and the ability to choose an alternative driver.

~ Features ~

Programming language: C / C ++.
The most advanced driver selection algorithm among analogs.
The program “weighs” about 4 megabytes (both versions) and does not require any third-party programs / libraries.
High performance when indexing, searching for a driver, installing.
Support for working with unpacked drivers.
Create system snapshots to emulate someone else’s system on another PC.
Warnings about possible attempts by viruses to infect the USB flash drive with the program.
Possibility to update the program and driverpacks via the Internet (torrent technology).

This distribution is based on the SamDrivers collection with the following differences:
There is no third-party software.
There are no other programs to install the drivers.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of SDI are included .
The distribution is made in the form of a folder, not an .iso image, which allows you to select driverpacks to download.
The distribution is updated with each driverpack release, and not once a month.

How do I back up my drivers?
Before creating a backup, you need to install all the necessary drivers to ensure that they work.
Switch on the “expert” mode.
Check the box “Current versions”.
Click the “Select All” button.
Click on the line “Unpack to …” and specify the folder for creating a backup copy.

Note: Since the drivers for the backup are taken directly from the driver packs, because copying the installed drivers cannot be correct due to the absence / deletion of some files required for installation,
in addition to specific drivers, some others will be unpacked by the program. Do not be surprised at the files that are not directly related to a specific driver.

Spoiler: Various usefulness in working with the program that you need to know

Clicking on the driver panel sets / unchecks the checkbox.
The “Install” button starts the installation of the selected drivers.
Clicking on the driver panel while pressing the Shift key starts the installation of this driver.
During installation, you can add / exclude drivers to the installation.
It is possible to cancel the driver installation before its final unpacking.
Clicking on the general progress bar stops the installation.
Holding the spacebar while hovering the mouse cursor over the driver panel displays a table with all alternative drivers for this device. The list is sorted from most optimal to least suitable.
Clicking on the double checkbox icon on the right side of the driver panel reveals a complete list of alternative drivers for the device.
Alternative drivers can also be displayed using filters in expert mode.
Holding Ctrl while hovering the mouse cursor over the driver displays a hint comparing the installed driver with the one suggested for installation. The preferred characteristics are highlighted in green. The lower the rating of the driver, the better it fits.
Right-clicking on the driver panel opens the context menu.
Clicking on the “System Information” panel opens the “Device Manager”.
Right-clicking on the “System Information” panel opens a context menu in which you can specify a system in the list for which drivers for this hardware configuration will be found / matched.
The program window can be dragged over any part of it.
In case of adding / removing a device, the program will automatically update the list of drivers.
When trying to write the autorun.inf file to a USB flash drive, a warning about a possible virus may appear.
By pressing the F8 key, you can change the display mode of drivers in the list. One click displays the name of the driver pack with this driver in the right part of the driver panel. The second press moves the name of the driver pack up above the driver / group of drivers. The third press removes the name of the driver pack. (the same actions are available in the Options dialog box)
Holding down the Ctrl key while rotating the mouse wheel allows you to increase / decrease the interface elements in the program window. Pressing Ctrl + 0 returns the default sizes of the program interface elements. The alternative combination of the Ctrl key and the + and – keys of the keyboard works the same way. (the same actions are available in the Options dialog box)

How to reduce SDI size
You can remove any driver pack and even more than one. According to your requests and needs …
Usually there is little demand for server drivers for video cards, for someone drivers for Win XP are out of date, for laptops it is often better to install drivers from vendors, etc.
So we look under the spoiler . distribution and make our choice.
PS. The bin file from indexes / SDI does not need to be deleted when you uninstall the driver pack, the weight there is scanty.
